Cold
War Radio is dedicated to the preservation and repair of communications
receivers used during the Cold War years. These radios monitored
activities all over the world to support our armed forces and political
interests.
We have worked with R-390 family receivers since 1970 in a wide
variety of activities that give us insights into the true value
of this equipment. There is no better receiver made in its class
that was designed for AM reception of far away stations.
Other
radios of this time period that we service include the various SP600
receivers – The 52J3/J4 – The R392 and the Navy super
receiver, the National Radio FRR59A/B and WRR2.
